An update on Cllr Ian Gurling’s Run to the Sea for Charity
“On Saturday 6th May I completed Run to the Sea, setting off from Christs Hospital School at 0830 running the 50km (31 mile) race to Hove seafront in 5:30.45 including climbs over the South Downs totalling 715.37m (2,347ft). It rained almost the full length of the race and the views from the top of the South Downs obscured by low cloud but an amazing experience and one I’m proud to have had.
My thanks to everyone who supported me in this challenge and in particular to everyone who sponsored me, your donations at last checking have totalled £300 each for my 2 chosen charities, ABF The Soldiers Charity and Shine for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus.”
